MEadowlark house bbq fundraiser
Our Meadowlark House BBQ fundraiser raise over $6000 for this facility that aid in the interview process for children inFord county being interviewed for a sexual assault case. These children have not done anything wrong and deserve a safe location outside of the Police station for their case to be built. We received the Community Champion Victim Service Award in 2017 for making a significant difference for Kansas crime victims by the Attorney General Derek Schmidt
Corbin’s Toy Chest
In memory of Corbin Chilton, Corbin’s Toy Chest is a community wide toy fundraiser for the Kansas City Children Mercy. Offering toys for patients in all levels of pediatric care to brighten their stay!
Children with hair loss
Renew Salon and Spa has partnered with CWHL for all hair donations of 8 inches or more. These donations allow children from all health backgrounds to be offered one free wig per year under the age of 18. We have had the honor or assisting one of our own clientele families along their child's chemotherapy journey that was a recipient of this program!
Annual Dodge City Middle School cut-a-thon!
One of our favorite days of the year! Our team donates our services to these students willing to donate their hair to CWHL. Ever year the number of donating students rises. Can you imagine the energy of 48+ kids getting their long locks cut off in front of al their peers!! It is so liberating! Students that have donated as long as 19 inches in one donation and in one year over 22 pounds of hair! Our top donations have came though over 5 Years, coming back to be present even when in high school.
